Physics PhD (Top 50 Program, US/UK/CA)


About the Role

This is a contract role, offering:

  • Remotely flexible work
  • Highly competitive compensation: $70–$180/hour
  • Immediate start

Role Responsibilities

You will focus on advancing AI reasoning in physics through:

  • Analysing AI-generated proofs, derivations, and solutions, ensuring correctness, mathematical rigour, and clarity.
  • Identifying inconsistencies or gaps in model outputs and formal reasoning.
  • Applying cited principles to support derivations (e.g., theorems, fundamental physics laws).
  • Independent delivery: Tasks completed within 24 hours when Scheduled (15h/week expected).
  • Collaborating asynchronously with AI researchers to refine model output quality.

Requirements

Must-Have

✅ PhD in Physics (from a top 50 US/UK/CA program) (Note: Not applicable to engineering or applied physics research.)

✅ Primary research focus in theoretical/advanced physics (not breadth-first/broad-fields, but quantitative rigor).

✅ Top-tier graduate-level comprehension and execution across:

  • Classical, quantum, or statistical mechanics
  • General relativity, thermal/statistical physics
  • Electromagnetism, fluid dynamics, or condensed matter
  • (Advanced electives/conferences in academic track encouraged)

✅ Naked pencil-and-paper math approach to evaluate proofs independently without tool assistance.

✅ Clarity of communication in explaining reasoning—supporting and identifying gaps logically (e.g., reference to theorems, hypotheses).
