About the Role

At Alignerr, we collaborate with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to develop and refine cutting-edge AI models.

We’re looking for a Physics Subject Matter Expert to work remotely on AI content specialisation. This hourly contract role pays $35–$55/hour, offers flexible weekly hours (10–40/week), and requires a Master’s (or equivalent) in Physics or a related field.

No AI experience is required—but your physics expertise will flex your skills in a groundbreaking way. You’ll help fine-tune large language models (like ChatGPT) by:

  • Designing advanced physics problems (mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, etc.)
  • Developing rigorous, step-by-step solutions with clear logic
  • Evaluating AI performance and suggesting improvements
  • Collaborating with researchers to refine benchmark datasets for undergraduate to Master’s-level physics

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
