Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for physics experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. Your deep understanding of physics will directly shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems — making a real impact on the frontier of artificial intelligence.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for people who love physics and want to apply their expertise in a cutting-edge setting. No prior AI experience required.

Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design challenging, rigorous physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate precise scientific reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated physics responses for accuracy, logical consistency, and depth
  • Identify gaps or errors in AI reasoning and provide structured, actionable feedback
  • Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
