Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for physics experts to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep understanding of physics will directly shape how AI reasons through complex problems — from classical mechanics to quantum theory. This is a rare opportunity to apply your advanced knowledge in a high-impact, fully remote role working alongside leading AI research teams.

Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design challenging, rigorous physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and more
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate structured reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning
  • Identify gaps in AI understanding and provide expert feedback to improve model performance
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
