Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for physics experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. Your deep understanding of physical systems will directly shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems — making a real impact on the frontier of AI development.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for Masters-level physicists who want to put their expertise to meaningful use on their own schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Design challenging, well-constructed physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and more
  • Develop rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate clear physical reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and solution quality
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine and improve evaluation benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level topics
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps AI reason better through quantitative problems

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
  • Strong command of advanced physics concepts and problem-solving across multiple domains
  • Able to communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating correctness and reasoning quality
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
  • No prior AI experience required
