We have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our Henderson Rehabilitation Unit!
We're a team of forward-thinking and supportive individuals who have a united goal in making a difference to our community. People in our care receive rehabilitation and recovery when they can’t be safely discharged home following a hospital stay.
Your focus will be to provide specialist advice and to promote and improve the health & wellbeing of people and communities.
You will be part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team (MDT), which includes Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Support Workers, Nurses, GP’s, other Allied Health Professionals and Social Care.
If you're looking to utilise your skills and provide a safe, patient centred, effective and evidence-based Physiotherapy service within a community inpatient setting, we will welcome your application!
- Be an autonomous practitioner responsible for the safe and comprehensive physiotherapeutic assessment and management of your own caseload
- Work within your scope of practice
- Plan and prioritise your workload independently and supervise assistants, rehabilitation workers and students as required
- Support and guide service users in appropriate goal setting
- Use clinical reasoning and treatment skills to develop and deliver personalised treatment plans based on evidence based practice
- Maintain accurate patient/client records (paper/electronic) in line with documentation guidelines
- Work as part of a wider MDT to achieve patient goals
- Communicate effectively with the wider MDT and case-manage services users as appropriate.
- Delegate and supervise appropriate tasks and physiotherapy treatment plans to Rehabilitation Workers/ Physiotherapy Assistants/Technicians
- Be able to order patient equipment and ensure the safe and appropriate use of equipment, reporting any issues appropriately
