We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in Plymouth, based in a picturesque and well-rated hospital. Our Practice Plus Group Hospital delivers care blocked for excellence, and our team is renowned for providing the highest standards of physiotherapy in a CQC-rated Good hospital setting.

What you’ll contribute
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing physiotherapy referrals and determining patients' treatment requirements
- Providing evidence-based physiotherapy treatments aligned with orthopaedic care best practices
- Working closely with patients and their carousel, ensuring they fully grasp prescribed protocols and rehabilitation programmes
- Meeting the standards of proficiency for physiotherapists and news defined by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), while adhering to CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists) guidelines

Responsibilities
- Deliver an effective and professional physiotherapy service across the treatment center, outpatient department, wards, and day surgery.
- Ensure all care provided aligns with clinical protocols and reflects best orthopaedic practice.
- Collaborate as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Collaborate with patients and carers to ensure full understanding of treatment and educational programmes for patient compliance.
- Ensure your practice is aligned with HCPC and CSP standards and regulations.
Work Environment & Hours
- Primary hours: 08:30 to 16:30 (Monday to Friday)
- Lone working: Weekly late shift (12:00-20:00) on designated days, and occasional weekend shifts
- Hours subject to Departmental needs and operational demand

Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Postgraduate training/qualification in musculoskeletal disorders (desirable)
- CSP membership (desirable)

Experience
- Recent practical experience in care and management of musculoskeletal disorders
- Experience working in (acute hospital environments) – preferably with orthopaedic specialties
- Confirmed advantage if you have private medication experience and proven ability to mentor other team members
Skills & Attributes
- Strong ability to motivate, advise and support team members
- Comfortable working independently as well as in a collaborative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity in complex discussions
- Proficient in using medical and diagnostic software
- Adept at problem-solving under pressure
- Proven evidence-based practice approach
- Experience and adaptability working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Exceptional time management skills to prioritise workload efficiently
- Certified life support skills
- Skills in safe manual handling
