Occupational Health MSK Physiotherapist – Barrow-in-Furness

Role Outline
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced MSK Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary musculoskeletal team at Health Partners Group. Whilst experience in Occupational Health would be advantageous, it is not essential. We are also willing to accept enquiries from new or recently qualified physiotherapists interested in our Graduate Training Programme.
In this exciting role, you will be based on-site at our client’s sites in Barrow-in-Furness, supporting their employees with musculoskeletal (MSK) health concerns and injuries. A proven ability to drive is preferred.
As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional MSK service, improving everyday lives of employees by minimising sickness, injury, and absence, while restoring function post-injury or illness. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive, dynamic team environment, working alongside healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, rewarding setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
responsibility would include:
- Providing accurate clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions
- Effectively rehabilitating employees with MSK disorders (both work-related and otherwise)
- Maintaining comprehensive assessment and treatment records
- Contributing to statistical reporting and health promotion events
- Classifying MSK disorders into work-relatedness categories
- Preparing reports for management, including fitness-to-work evaluations and adjustments (short/long/permanent)
- Collaborating with the wider occupational health team
- Conducting DSE assessments and offering preventive ergonomic advice (training provided)
- Producing reports, tracking statistics, and participating in health awareness initiatives

Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Degree (BSc or MSc) in Physiotherapy
- Registered with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
- 2+ years specialising in musculoskeletal care (or recent graduates interested in MSK with proven drive/specialisation)
- Proficiency in IT and wellbeing/occupational health systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport and collaborating with colleagues and clients
- Customer-focused, adaptable, efficient, and organised
- Skilful in prioritising work to meet objectives set with your Team Leader
Desirable Qualifications/Skills
- Knowledge of workplace ergonomics or fitness-for-work assessments
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)
- Membership of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health & Ergonomics (ACPOHE)
Hours
This role operates full-time (37.5 hrs/week), Monday to Friday:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Location
On-site at our client’s Barrow-in-Furness premises.

Salary
- Experienced clinicians: £38,000 – £42,000
- Recently qualified, completing the Graduate Programme: £32,000 (with subsequent progression opportunities)
