We are delighted to offer an opportunity to join our friendly and supportive therapy team at Alderney Hospital.

About the Role

To provide a high quality evidence-based physiotherapy input to a caseload of complex, predominately frail/older people, on Jersey & Guernsey Ward as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

This is a Part-Time post of 25 hours. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide assessments, plan and develop physiotherapy treatments for patients with complex physical needs in a community hospital with a focus on discharge planning.
  • To provide a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery which always considers people’s safety, privacy and dignity.
  • To provide specialist care and interventions, assessments, treatments and managing patients on a caseload, as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.
  • To provide specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of patients / service users.
  • To devise specialist programmes of care for other professionals to deliver and ensure they are delivered appropriately.
  • To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings
