Physiotherapist - MSK Outpatients / Inpatients

Hereford Hospital | Physiotherapy | Permanent | Full Time

Competitive Dependent On Skills And Experience

37.5 hours per week (over 4 days - consideration for part-time application)

If so, Nuffield Health is looking for a Physiotherapist. Our expert physiotherapists are here to treat injuries, long-term pain and help you get back to full health.

Our clients receive rapid access to treatment from our expert physiotherapists based at our Hereford Hospital. Whether they are suffering from a sporting injury, back and neck pain or recovering from surgery, our experts are here to help get them back to their feet.

In the role of a Physiotherapist you will:

  • See a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions from sports to workplace-related injuries and will play a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.
  • Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence-based, Safe, Effective, Caring, Well-led and responsive to our patient’s needs.
  • Ensure on-going monitoring of the standard of treatment provided.
  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes.

The role can be split across 2 teams. The working week will either be purely MSK or can be spent as two days in Outpatients MSK and the other 2 days working in Inpatients. Whilst we can offer some flexibility within the team, we would like the successful person to work:

37.5 hours per week, across Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm. Hours to be worked over 4 longer days.

We would also be happy to consider applications from people wanting part-time - 2 days - MSK Outpatients (any day) OR 2 days Inpatients (THURS/FRIDAY). If we can ask you to state in your application whether it's part-time or full-time you want.

What are we looking for in our Physiotherapists?

  • We require a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and you’ll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Be able to demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills.
  • Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and students.

About Nuffield Hospital - Hereford

The Nuffield Health Hospital in Hereford is located in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and sits just half a mile north of Hereford City Centre. A modern hospital, offering exceptional private healthcare to the local community and surrounding counties. We offer a vast range of first-class medical and surgical services performed by a team of expert consultants. The Ward consists of 20 inpatient beds, 3 day surgery unit beds and a busy ACU with the majority of patients receiving elective Surgical procedures. We cater for both inpatient and day case surgery, providing a broad range of surgical specialties including: General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Vascular, Plastics and more. Working with leading consultants, Hereford hospital prevents and treats many medical conditions and offers a wide range of complex surgery and services. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.
