About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties Of This Role Include:
- Assist with the delivery of physiotherapy interventions as directed by a registered Physiotherapist.
- Support patients with prescribed exercises, mobility practice, and therapeutic activities in a safe and compassionate manner.
- Observe and report patients’ responses to treatment and any concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Set up and prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring all equipment is safe, clean, and ready for use.
- Support patients in the safe use of mobility aids, walking frames, or other therapy tools.
- Assist with the maintenance, cleaning, and storage of equipment in line with infection prevention and control standards.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria:
- Experience working in a healthcare, care, or rehabilitation setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A caring, patient-focused approach and commitment to promoting independence.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a physiotherapy or therapy assistant role.
- Knowledge of mobility aids, basic anatomy, or therapeutic exercises.
- Familiarity with hospital systems and electronic documentation.
