Role Description

The PI Account Executive is a full-time role responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance clients. Based in the City of Bristol in a hybrid capacity, the role combines office-based collaboration with the flexibility of some work from home. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Negotiating terms with insurers
  • Handling renewals and mid-term adjustments

The PI Account Executive will also:

  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Support business development initiatives
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and company standards

Qualifications

  • Strong client relationship and account management skills, with the ability to provide clear, confident advice on Professional Indemnity insurance.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products, particularly PI, and an understanding of current market trends and underwriting practices.
  • Solid administrative and organizational skills, including accurate documentation, policy processing, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, for dealing with clients, insurers, and internal teams.
  • Comfort with hybrid working, self-motivation, and the ability to manage workload independently while collaborating with colleagues.
  • Relevant insurance qualifications (e.g., progress toward or completion of CII) are highly beneficial.
  • Previous experience in an insurance broking environment, preferably with PI or professional lines, is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in standard office and insurance-related software systems.
