# Inventory & Distribution Warehouse Assistant – Tesco Bookers Warehouse
About the Role
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently exceeded through a varied and dynamic work environment. Your responsibilities will include tasks such as:
- Filling shelves
- Assisting on checkouts (“serving on the tills”)
- Managing stock levels
- Assisting with delivery picking
Every day brings new challenges, but every task—whether stock replenishment, handling deliveries, or serving customers—directly impacts their experience. Your efforts ensure customers receive their orders promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
As an Inventory & Distribution Warehouse Assistant, you will:
- Accurately pick and dispatch goods using a handheld terminal, reporting any discrepancies to the Manager.
- Inspect quality, shelf life, and packaging before dispatching consignments to ensure they meet delivery standards.
- Provide a high standard of customer service, including:
- Processing deliveries efficiently and to target deadlines
- Maintaining a friendly, approachable demeanour when interacting with delivery staff
- Addressing queries and complaints professionally, escalating complex issues to the relevant team member
Person Specification
To succeed in this role, you will need:
