Piling Engineer

Piling Engineer – 2 Year Project – Outside IR35 – Scotland

We’re supporting a Tier 1 contractor on a major infrastructure scheme in Scotland and are looking for an experienced Piling Engineer to join on a long-term contract.

Location: Scotland (site-based) Duration: 2 years Contract: Outside IR35 Rate: Competitive day rate

Role Overview You’ll play a key role in the delivery of piling works, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installation across a large-scale project.

Key Responsibilities Oversee piling operations on site (bored, driven, CFA, or similar) Ensure works are delivered to programme, specification, and safety standards Review and interpret piling design and geotechnical data Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers Monitor quality, manage records, and resolve technical issues

Ideal Profile Proven experience delivering piling works on major projects Background with Tier 1 or large contractors Strong understanding of piling methods and geotechnical principles Able to manage site activities and stakeholders effectively Relevant engineering qualification (civil/geotechnical preferred)
