Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mansfield for Piling Operatives supporting a variety of ground engineering and foundation projects. The role involves operating piling rigs and associated plant safely and efficiently, following site plans, method statements, and health and safety procedures. Daily tasks include:

- Setting up and dismantling equipment
- Carrying out pre-start checks
- Assisting with loading and positioning materials
- Supporting accurate installation of piles to specified depths and tolerances

Piling Operatives will work closely with site supervisors and engineering teams to maintain high quality standards, complete site documentation, and report any issues or defects. The role also involves contributing to general site duties, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and participating in ongoing training and skills development.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in plant and equipment operation, ideally including experience with piling rigs or heavy construction machinery
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices on construction sites, including safe systems of work and use of PPE
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, work with supervisors and engineers, and coordinate effectively with site teams
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to interpret site drawings, levels, and technical instructions, and complete required records and reports
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with flexibility to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel to different sites as required
- CSCS card, relevant CPCS/NPORS plant operator qualifications, and previous experience in piling or ground engineering are highly beneficial
- Training in manual handling, working at height, and banksman/signaller duties, as well as a full UK driving license, would be advantageous
