Working in a fast-paced and operationally focused environment, you will be trusted to deliver proportionate, thorough, and high-quality investigations that directly contribute to public safety and the delivery of justice.

You will operate as part of a collaborative policing model, working closely with officers, investigators, and partner agencies to pursue all reasonable lines of enquiry. This role offers the opportunity to utilise your PIP2 accreditation in a meaningful way—progressing complex investigations, supporting early suspect identification, and ensuring cases are effectively built and progressed through the criminal justice system.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage and progress serious (Tier 2) investigations in line with PACE, CPIA, and BTP policy
  • Gather, assess, and develop evidence to identify suspects and progress cases effectively.
  • Interview victims and witnesses, delivering a professional and victim-focused service.
  • Assess risk and vulnerability, ensuring appropriate safeguarding measures are in place.
  • Work with colleagues and partners to progress enquiries and prepare clear case files or handovers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
