Job Description

Job Title: Pipe Fitter - Mechanical Fitter

Location: HM Naval Base, Portsmouth (HMNBP)

Service Area: Service Delivery

Hours of Work: 37 Per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £38,600

What You Will Be Doing

  • You will be part of the Operations and Maintenance Team, and play a key role in carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance whilst ensuring full compliance and Safe to Operate capability.
  • Safe and professional mechanical planned and reactive maintenance on steam plant rooms and network.
  • Installation and replacement of pipework to current PSSR reg’s.
  • Carry out basic mechanical fault finding and rectification.
  • Completing all Point of Work Risk Assessments (PoWRA) before any Task is started and all required PPE is worn and in good condition.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience and knowledge in industrial pipe fitting.
  • Competent in using threading machine and similar tooling.

About You

  • Experience in working with technical specifications and have a good understanding of safe systems of work.
  • Knowledge and application of Health and Safety best practices
