Pipe Fitter - Mechanical Fitter

Location: HM Naval Base, Portsmouth (HMNBP)

Service Area: Service Delivery

Hours of Work: 37 Per Week

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £38,600


What You Will Be Doing

You will be part of the Operations and Maintenance Team, playing a key role in:

  • Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance
  • Ensuring full compliance and Safe to Operate capability
  • Performing safe and professional maintenance on steam plant rooms and networks
  • Installing and replacing pipework in compliance with current PSSR regulations
  • Conducting basic mechanical fault-finding and rectification
  • Completing all Point of Work Risk Assessments (PoWRA) before tasks begin
    • Ensuring all required PPE is worn and in good condition

What You Will Bring

  • Experience and knowledge in industrial pipe fitting
  • Competence in using threading machines and similar tooling
  • Experience working with technical specifications
  • A good understanding of safe systems of work
  • Knowledge and application of Health and Safety best practices
