Pipe Fitter - Mechanical Fitter
Location: HM Naval Base, Portsmouth (HMNBP)
Service Area: Service Delivery
Hours of Work: 37 Per Week
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £38,600
What You Will Be Doing
You will be part of the Operations and Maintenance Team, playing a key role in:
- Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance
- Ensuring full compliance and Safe to Operate capability
- Performing safe and professional maintenance on steam plant rooms and networks
- Installing and replacing pipework in compliance with current PSSR regulations
- Conducting basic mechanical fault-finding and rectification
- Completing all Point of Work Risk Assessments (PoWRA) before tasks begin
- Ensuring all required PPE is worn and in good condition
What You Will Bring
- Experience and knowledge in industrial pipe fitting
- Competence in using threading machines and similar tooling
- Experience working with technical specifications
- A good understanding of safe systems of work
- Knowledge and application of Health and Safety best practices
