Welder - Fawley
Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Welder to join the team at Fawley for the outage project.
Immediate start available.
The position is paid under NAECI agreements. Bonus 80p P/h worked. Right to work in the UK required. Pay rate: £23.25
Key Deliverables
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or specifications to plan layout and assembly of welded components
- Measure, cut, and arrange metals or parts to meet specifications
- Operate welding machines such as arc, gas, or resistance welding equipment
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper welds
- Inspect welds for quality, structural soundness, and adherence to specifications
- Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded using hand or power tools
- Align, clamp, and tack workpieces to secure them before welding
- Repair worn, damaged, or defective metal parts by welding or replacing sections
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in clean and safe condition
- Follow safety procedures to protect self and others from hazards
- Document work, complete reports, and communicate progress or issues to supervisors

Key Requirements / Qualifications

- Experience within the oil & gas industry or other continuous process industry.
- Appropriate qualifications such as NVQ level 3 in Welding / Apprenticeship Indentures
