The HPC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project. Pipefitter Boccard Hinkley Point C
The role reports to the Working Pipefitting Supervisor.
38 hour week
10/4 rotation

The role will work collaboratively and closely with internal site colleagues including riggers, erectors, platers / fabricators, and welders.
- Rigorously adhere to all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards set by the company and industry.
- Must be able to follow and execute the steps of the ITP.
- Comprehend detailed isometric drawings and be able to identify components and orientations.
- Ensure work aligns with the specifications laid out in the isometric drawings.
- Accurately mark pipes based on requirements for further processing, to ensure minimal material wastage and precise measurements in all tasks.
- Must be able to utilize industry-standard tools for cutting, shaping, and fabricating pipe spools i.e., angle grinders, internal grinders, and prepping machines.
- Fit and assemble pipe components with precision by accurately making sure gap, misalignment and prep angle are correct according to the specifications on the WPS.
- Collaborate with welding and installation teams to finalize assemblies.
- Periodically inspect tools, equipment, and workspace for potential hazards and to ensure optimal functionality.
- Participate in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental evaluations and identify areas of improvement.
- Report any risks or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities to stay updated with industry changes and advancements.

- Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Construction - Pipefitter Standard (ST0162)
- Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plant and Systems - Pipefitting
- ECITB Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plant and Systems - Pipefitting SCQF Level 6
- ECITB Skills Test Alternative / Skills Test Number: TPF05
- ACE Card
- Turkish Level 3 Certificate Vocational Qualification in Industrial Pipe Fitting
- Indian Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Indian National Trade Certificate (Pipe Fitting)
- Turkish Certificate in Pipe Welding
- Turkish Level 3 Industrial Pipe Fitter VQA Certificate
- Proven experience of pipefitting experience in a highly regulated environment, minimum 5 years
