As a Fabrication Pipefitter/Pipe Welder with S.I. Goldman Company
Your essential responsibilities are to:
- Lay out and install pipe using shop or contract drawings.
- Install and assemble piping systems, including pipe hangers, supports, and related components, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and welding procedures to determine the appropriate welding techniques, materials, and equipment required for each project.
- Set up welding equipment and select the proper welding method (such as TIG, MIG, or stick welding) based on the specific requirements of the project and the type of material being welded.
- Perform pipe welding tasks, including cutting, fitting, and joining metal components, using appropriate welding techniques and tools.
- Conduct pipefitting tasks, such as measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to the required specifications.

The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least five (5) years of welding experience.
- Proven experience as a Pipe Welder & Pipefitter, demonstrating expertise in both pipe welding and pipefitting tasks.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and welding procedures.
- Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Familiarity with a wide range of welding equipment, tools, and materials.
- Ability to work with various metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys.
- Versatility in different welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
- Strong technical skills in welding preparation, setup, and execution.
- Pipefitting skills, including measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality welds and pipefitting joints.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
