The Role
Practice Education (Placement Activity) accounts for up to 50% of a student’s course when studying a professional degree and is imperative to ensure our students have the relevant opportunity to gain experiences and the required skills for their chosen profession. The Placement Coordinator’s role is to oversee high quality, efficient and effective placement administrative support for students, academics, and placement providers. The post holder will utilise their extensive administrative skills to support the workings of the team.
The Person
We are searching for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual to join the Practice Placement team. You will be supporting our placement activity work predominantly with our education courses, whether this being refining and inputting data, using excellent communication and negotiation skills to support placement allocations, or using your analytical skills to process documentation on behalf of students in support of their placements. You will need to have an excellent standard of ICT and literacy skills, be able to work independently to deadlines, and be able to communicate appropriately with internal and external stakeholders. You will be a team player, and work across the team to support shared aims and goals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
