What We Offer

We have an opportunity for an undergraduate business student to join our commercial team in the Components business in Wrexham. This is an opportunity to gain experience in a busy commercial environment supporting our customers, both in the UK and internationally, through our sales teams. This will be a 12-month placement beginning in July 2025, starting with a two-week training induction for the successful candidate.

Main Duties

  • Building relationships with customers.
  • Understanding individual customer requirements ending with the preparation of customer quotations and tenders.
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of the Bicon Components website.
  • Creating targeted marketing materials to advertise the Components range of products.
  • Participating in product launches.
  • As part of the Prysmian team, represent the business at a national exhibition.
  • Supporting the commercial team on sales and business analysis to determine the tactics and strategy to be employed for winning bids.
  • Compiling sales analysis data via the weekly reporting structure.
  • Collating market intelligence from tender follow up questionnaires.
  • Managing the process to produce company literature for the components business.
  • Opportunities will be provided to attend customer meetings at their premises in line with business requirements.

What We Require From You

  • You will be an undergraduate in your penultimate year at University, ideally studying a business related degree.
  • Eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the placement.
  • Eye for detail and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Professional attitude to work and a willingness to learn.
  • An ability to work well under pressure, solving problems quickly and efficiently.
  • A good telephone manner is essential.

This role is based at our Wrexham site, the address of which is Oak Road, Wrexham Industrial Estate, Wrexham, LL13 9PH. We are able to offer free car parking next to the site. Due to the location of the factory, it would be advantageous to have a full UK driving licence or own transport.
