Placement Support Technician
The Role We are seeking an experienced Placement Support Technician to strengthen our growing team, As a Placement Support Technician, you will play a key role in supporting brokers throughout the full placement lifecycle, from pre-placement activity through to binding and post-placement servicing of treaty reinsurance programmes. You’ll be part of a team building a modern, scalable Placement Support function, contributing to the design of effective processes, driving operational efficiency, and delivering a high quality market-leading client experience within Client Service and Operations. This role offers real exposure, responsibility, and the chance to develop your expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Support Brokers in the end-to-end placement of treaty reinsurance programmes Develop a strong understanding of client portfolios and business needs Ensure compliance processes are followed and documented accurately Assist in the preparation of renewal and new business presentations Review market security information and adhere to Market Security processes Perform second pair of eyes checks to ensure accuracy and quality Identify sanctions touchpoints and prepare referrals for approval Maintain accurate contractual data within broking systems Prepare client documentation, including Evidence of Cover, Debit Notes and Closing Instructions Upload premium submissions to Velonetic IMR and resolve queries through to signing Calculate, validate and process adjustment premiums and other post-placement activities, ensuring accuracy, appropriate approvals and maintaining accurate records Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and assist with queries Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and reinsurers Manage and resolve queries or discrepancies related to reinsurance contracts Support and mentor junior team members to develop their expertise Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs, guidance materials, and best practices About You Proven experience in a placement support or similar role within reinsurance broking A solid understanding of the end-to-end placement process Familiarity with systems such as Eclipse and London Market processes (e.g. Velonetic systems, LORS) Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out compliance and accuracy checks Confident communicator with a collaborative, team-focused approach to stakeholder management Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment A proactive mindset and drive to continuously improve client service excellence Experience in Specialty lines or Delegated Authorities is beneficial but not essential.
