Communications & Marketing Industrial Placement – HP Europe
About the Role
The HP Europe Communications team is seeking an enthusiastic, creative individual with fresh ideas to join a world-leading technology company as part of a global communications team.
HP is a $50+ billion Fortune 100 company operating across 190 countries, with a long-standing legacy of innovation since 1939. Known for its ground-breaking approach to technology, HP challenges conventions and shapes how we live and work.
This 13-month industrial placement (July 2026 – July 2027) offers placement students valuable hands-on experience in the dynamic communications sector, working across international teams. Successful candidates will contribute fresh perspectives, take ownership of pan-Europe projects, and gain deep insight into global communications campaigns and events.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyse and produce weekly and quarterly product-specific coverage reports
- Assist in campaigns and events, including logistics support and briefing books development
- Attend and support UK influencer and press events (handling logistics, badging, and social media support)
- Provide guidance to pan-Europe managers to align European markets with key communication priorities
- Create high-impact LinkedIn posts for leveraging across European markets

- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)
- Advanced English language skills (required) ✔ Must currently be enrolled in a full-time university degree with a required industrial placement year

Desirable Skills

Education
Currently pursuing a full-time university degree. Preferred subjects for the placement include (but are not limited to): Business, Psychology, English, Marketing, or Communications All disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Key Requirements for this Internship
- Placement duration: 13 months, from July 1st, 2026, to July 31st, 2027
- Placement type: Part of a recognised sandwich/placement year as per your degree requirements
- Work location: Onsite at HP’s Reading headquarters (with occasional travel) / Hybrid working (by default)
- Working schedule: Full-time
