Join an exciting startup as a Go-to-Market (GTM) & Business Development Intern and gain hands-on experience working directly with a founder. You'll play a key role in generating leads, engaging with prospective customers, following up on opportunities, and participating in business calls, while learning how a startup grows from the inside.
Location: Remote (UK-based preferred, with the opportunity to work from London if local)
Duration: 9–12 Months (Placement Year or Internship)
Working Pattern: Full-time
Stipend: £500 per month
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive Go-to-Market (GTM) & Business Development Intern to help accelerate the company's growth.
You'll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, generating qualified leads, following up with prospective customers, and speaking directly with schools to understand their needs. Reporting directly to the founder, you'll gain hands-on experience in sales, customer engagement, and startup growth strategy.

This is much more than a sales internship—it's an opportunity to learn how a startup builds a customer base, refines its go-to-market strategy, and scales from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective schools and decision-makers.
- Generate and qualify new sales leads.
- Conduct outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone.
- Follow up with prospective customers and nurture relationships.
- Schedule and participate in business meetings and product demonstrations.
- Take introductory discovery calls with prospective customers.
- Update and manage the CRM and sales pipeline.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights.
- Work directly with the founder on go-to-market strategy and commercial initiatives.
- Support additional business development and growth projects as the company expands.
Who We're Looking For
- Native English speaker based in the UK.
- No specific degree discipline required.
- No previous experience required.
- Confident speaking with new people and building relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable, resilient, and eager to learn.
- Highly coachable and proactive.
- Interested in startups, entrepreneurship, sales, and business growth.
