About the Role
This role is within the UK&I Print Category team, this team is split into HPS (Home Printing Solutions) and OPS (Office Printing Solutions) which comprise both LaserJet and Ink Hardware. The role also involves work with the Supplies team. The core responsibility is to support the print category managers on the day-to-day execution of the HP printing systems strategy and plan for all routes to market, including business analysis & reporting, promotions, incentives, customer & partner events.
Team Structure
- The printing category team comprises of a UK&I Print Category Lead who the category managers covering LaserJet & Ink hardware report to.
- In the Supplies Category, there are 3 category managers who report to the COE (Centre of Excellence).
- The Print Category Support Specialist works across all print categories and supports all routes to market.
This is a placement year opportunity which will take place for 13 months, from July 2026 until July 2027.
Job Tasks
Managing print promotions & incentives
- Raising monthly, quarterly and ad hoc OPG (Order Processing Guidelines) requests
- Buy & Try Program
- Trade in Promotion
- Best Buys Promotion
Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Reporting & Analysis
- OPG/Supplies Claims Tracker
- Weekly and Monthly OPG Rebate Tracker (HPS)
- Weekly OPS Availability Reporting
- WOS Reporting (End of Week)
- SIT file processing and re-distribution
- Manage & distribute monthly pricelist and road map file - including new product updates and removing EOL products
- Cashback redemption tracking for supplies
- Partner Web Analysis – checking promotion implementation by online partners (hardware and supplies)
- Adhoc reporting – support requests from category and other areas of the business
- Supplies file for Richard Bee for Viking (quarterly/annually).
- CISS Tracker (Continuous Ink Supplying System)
- Accelerate Report – Monthly report for Sodexo agency
- C-SKU Check – checking for the presence of contractual SKUs in distribution
- MRSP – distributing MRSP and Supplies Price lists
- SIT file – Supplies Information Tool – Manage the file and process to distribute to internal contacts

Event Support: Internal/External
- Product loan requests for partners and end-user customers
- Warehouse/merchandise management
Objectives
- Support the printing category team
- Manage the promotions/incentives for team within given deadlines
- Process and manage all OPGs in an accurate & timely manner through liaising with members of the category team as well as other key departments.
- Ensure timely & accurate report distribution internally/externally
- Ensure stakeholders are kept up to date with the right information at the right time
- Evolve the role to incorporate changes & process improvement
Skill Set Required
- Microsoft Office: particularly Excel, Power Point & Outlook
- Analytical skills: able to analyse and track programs & promotions to provide observations & recommendations to the print category team
- Organised/co-ordination: able to prioritise according to preparation requirements including synchronisation of multiple elements with the same deadlines
- Attention to Detail: awareness and application of guidelines & requirements in all activities
- Communication: timely and regular updates on activity development, results & deadlines to key stakeholders
- Teamwork/collaboration: develop strong relationships with team in order to pool resources effectively when required; support other team member objectives, especially those that overlap with own
- Creative Problem Solving: Ability to think on feet and outside the box - challenge “this is the way we’ve always done it” mentality - continually seek to improve process efficiency.

Additional Requirements
- Placement year opportunity (13 months, from July 1st, 2026 – July 31st, 2027).
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree that includes a placement year.
- Eligible to live and work in the UK, with the ability to travel to HP’s Reading Head Office.
