Job Opportunity: Planner – Energy (Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone)

About the Role

Murphy is recruiting for a Planner to specialise in Energy, specifically working in the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone.

  • Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects

Responsibilities

A typical day as a Murphy Senior Planner involves:

  • Absorbing and distilling complex information to clearly communicate project scope
  • Creating resource-backed programmes, ensuring alignment with expectations and requirements
  • Contributing to risk management and conducting programme risk analysis
  • Producing visual planning materials to support scheduled methodologies
  • Organising and maintaining essential project documentation
  • Collaborating with estimators and supply chain teams to define methods, outputs, and cost items
  • Working with design engineers to establish temporary works briefs
  • Presenting temporary works schedules to estimators for cost justification
  • Attending bid review and handover meetings, communicating work scope and delivery plans clearly
  • Coordinating with estimators to define required feedback reports and feedback processes

What We're Looking For

Qualified candidates should possess:

  • Experience on major civil engineering and/or construction projects
  • Background in HV Power, Transmission & Distribution, particularly with National Grid
  • Skilled in planning software including P6, Asta, TILOS, or QSRA
  • Proven ability to utilise various planning techniques across both tendering and contract delivery
  • Strong grasp of commercial and contractual planning interfaces
