Planner
Planner / Senior Planner Location: Slough, Berkshire Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 + package
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Planner / Senior Planner to join our project delivery team, supporting the successful planning and execution of major industrial, logistics, pharmaceutical and hyperscale data centre projects throughout the UK. Working closely with project teams from pre-construction through to project completion, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and analysing project programmes, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing strategic planning support to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects within some of the UK's fastest-growing sectors.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. Produce tender, pre-construction and construction programmes. Establish project baselines and monitor progress against key milestones. Conduct critical path analysis and identify programme risks and mitigation measures. Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams, design consultants and subcontractors to develop realistic delivery strategies. Prepare programme updates, progress reports and earned value analysis for internal and client reporting. Support resource and logistics planning activities across multiple projects. Evaluate the impact of change, delays and disruptions on project delivery. Assist in the preparation and assessment of extension of time submissions where required. Participate in client meetings and provide planning expertise throughout the project lifecycle. Support continuous improvement initiatives within project controls and planning functions.

Requirements Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Proven planning experience within major construction projects. Experience in industrial, logistics, pharmaceutical, data centre, mission-critical or similarly complex environments. Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Excellent understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies and project controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Membership of a relevant professional institution. Experience working under NEC and JCT forms of contract. Knowledge of BIM and digital construction methodologies. Experience supporting claims, delay analysis and forensic planning activities.
