Planner – Southern Region (Kent & East Sussex)
Location: Kent & East Sussex (Site and Regional Office Based)
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Planner to join our Southern Region, supporting the successful delivery of highways and civil engineering projects across Kent and East Sussex.
The successful candidate will have a strong site background and use their practical construction experience to support project teams by producing, reviewing and managing project programmes, identifying engineering solutions, and ensuring programmes remain accurate, up to date and compliant with NEC contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and update project programmes using MS Project.
- Carry out detailed monthly programme reviews, ensuring progress and change are accurately recorded.
- Review and monitor two-week look-ahead programmes.
- Ensure programme submissions comply with NEC contractual requirements.
- Review site records, contractual notices and project communications relating to programme matters.
- Monitor project change, risks and opportunities registers.
- Identify and support programme entitlement, including Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Provide planning and construction advice to site teams and Contracts Managers.
- Support project teams in recovering programme impacts and managing change with clients.
- Assist in developing planning processes and systems across the business.

Candidate Requirements
- Previous site-based experience within highways or civil engineering.
- Strong planning and programming skills using MS Project.
- Good understanding of NEC contracts and programme management.
- Highways project experience is essential.
- Experience with Asta Powerproject is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Kent and East Sussex.
