Planner – Contract Position
Job Type: Contract
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 months Pay Rate: Up to £550 per day (Umbrella) Location: Bristol & Bridgwater – 3 days in Bristol, 2 days in Bridgwater Working Arrangement: Office/On-site role (Hybrid/Remote Not Available) Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
About the Role
This role focuses on producing planning outputs while engaging with other sub-discipline leads to ensure alignment and integration. The Planner is expected to work autonomously, with oversight from a Project Controls Manager, and will also coach, support, and direct junior planners in delivering supplementary outputs.
Responsibilities
- Produce integrated and aligned outputs within the planning sub-discipline.
- Work autonomously with guidance from a Project Controls Manager.
- Collaborate with sub-discipline leads to ensure seamless cross-functional coordination.
- Coach, support, and direct junior planners in generating high-quality planning outputs.

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Planning, ideally on large, complex projects.
- Expertise in the planning process, with the ability to challenge, question, and validate data accurately.
- Proficiency in:
- Master Schedules & Schedule Reporting
- Earned Value Management (EVM) Reporting
- Resource Analysis
- Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA), including model development and report generation
Security Clearance
- UK National Security Vetting (BPSS) required
