PLANNER

AliveDx is recruiting for a Planner to join the Planning & Customer Services team based near Edinburgh (EH26 OBF). The role is a full-time, permanent, working 37.5 hours with flexible working arrangements where applicable.

As Planner, you will play a vital role in coordinating and optimising production planning activities to ensure reliable supply, efficient manufacturing operations, and excellent customer service. Working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Customer Service, and Dispatch teams, you'll help maintain an effective production schedule while identifying risks and driving continuous improvement.

YOUR MISSION

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, maintaining and optimising short- to medium-term production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity and material availability.
  • Collaborating with Procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Issuing work orders and maintaining production documentation accurately and on time.
  • Participating in daily and weekly cross-functional planning meetings, communicating production updates and highlighting potential risks.
  • Monitoring production performance and adjusting schedules to resolve bottlenecks and minimise disruption.
  • Working closely with Quality to align material release with production requirements.
  • Supporting Customer Service and Dispatch to ensure products are available for on-time customer delivery.
  • Managing finished goods inventory and work-in-progress levels to support customer demand and inventory targets.
  • Maintaining accurate ERP master data and supporting planning documentation.
  • Producing reports and analysing operational data to support business decision-making.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within GMP/GDP regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Good understanding of production planning, scheduling and capacity management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with an enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
