Project Planner (Energy Sector) – Norfolk, UK
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Planner to join our team in Norfolk, United Kingdom. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the energy sector by developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules and plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to:
- Track and monitor project progress
- Support delivery forecasting and look-aheads
- Develop and support change/impact programmes with wider delivery teams
- Create comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations
- Analyse project requirements and develop detailed work breakdown structures
- Identify potential programme risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to:
- Define all project requirements
- Agree on timescales and deliverables
- Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency
- Assist in budget development and cost estimates through programme utilisation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the engineering industry or related field
- Strong knowledge of NEC form of contract (essential)
- Proficiency in project management software, such as:
- Microsoft Project
- Primavera P6
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including:
- Effective teamwork and collaboration
- Experience in construction or infrastructure projects
