Planner

Job Type: Permanent (Contract available) 📍 Location: Sizewell B, Suffolk 📅 Start Date: ASAP ⏳ Hours: Up to 40 hours per week 💵 Salary: Up to £66,000 pa

🔹 Working Arrangement: Flexible working available


About the Role

The Planner will be responsible for producing integrated and aligned outputs within the planning sub-discipline. This role requires the ability to work autonomously with guidance from a Project Controls Manager, while also coaching, supporting, and directing junior planners to deliver high-quality project outputs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planning tasks to support large, complex projects within required deadlines
  • Engage with other sub-discipline leads to ensure outputs remain integrated and aligned
  • Produce Master Schedules, Schedule Reports, and Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting
  • Carry out Resource Analysis and quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) assessments
  • Challenge and validate planned data through rigorous analysis and questioning
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior planners

Requirements

Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years of direct experience in planning and working on large, complex projects
  • Strong understanding of earned value (EVM) analysis
  • Expertise in Master Scheduling and managing schedule risk analysis models
  • Ability to challenge, validate, and refine planned data for accuracy and reliability
  • Proven track record in producing high-quality project schedules and reports
