Planner
Mott MacDonald Bentley is a fully integrated design and build business combining the design expertise of Mott MacDonald with the contracting experience of JN Bentley, operating across water, energy and environment sectors throughout the UK.
MMB has successfully extended its contract with Thames Water for an additional five years. As the largest water and wastewater provider in the UK, Thames Water serves 15 million customers throughout London and the Thames Valley. This extension will carry the current agreement through to the end of AMP8 in March 2030. MMB is delivering work on three frameworks in the region, which sees us undertake a varied programme of water and wastewater non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects to improve the network. With sites located across the Thames Valley region including; Aylesbury, Banbury, and Reading.
As a planner, you will play an essential role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects that make a real difference to our environment and communities—ranging from improving flood defences and upgrading water treatment works to providing nature-based solutions that enhance biodiversity.

The Role Of a Planner Includes
Ensuring projects are programmed in P6 to the necessary level of detail for operational teams to deliver and ensuring contract compliance. Developing detailed project plans and continuously monitoring project progress, updating schedules and generating performance reports. Lead the Plan for Stage process including development of delivery plans and understand constraints and sequences and look ahead meeting/process to ensure it is robust and consistently applied across all projects Production of required project reports including identification of project risks and opportunities Working closely with project managers, engineers and other team members to gather necessary information to build programmes from scratch, facilitating planning sessions to produce detailed, logical plans Reporting key project milestones and supporting the team in effective, on-time delivery while identifying opportunities for programme improvement.

What You’ll Need
CSCS and SSSTS Competency in the use of Primavera P6 and an interest in 4D planning Understand civil engineering principles and practices Have excellent communication, problem solving and teamwork skills A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
