Planner UK (Part-time, 0.7 FTE)

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Planner UK who can independently manage transport planning while balancing multiple priorities.

As a Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an efficient and reliable transport schedule across the supply chain. You will coordinate transport capacity, customer demand and available resources, while proactively responding to disruptions and operational challenges. Your work will contribute to high vehicle utilisation, on-time deliveries and excellent customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain daily and weekly transport plans based on customer demand.
  • Analyse transport capacity, including vehicles and drivers, and align it with forecasted volumes.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Warehouse and Customer Service, as well as external transport partners.
  • Identify planning bottlenecks, delays and deviations, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary.
  • Prioritise conflicting transport requests and operational disruptions while balancing customer expectations and operational feasibility.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and systems.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including On Time In Full (OTIF), vehicle utilisation and waiting times, and prepare performance reports.
  • Ensure transport planning complies with all relevant legislation and regulations, including drivers' hours and loading restrictions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
