Your New Opportunity Galbraith is seeking a qualified Planner or Surveyor to join the Planning and Development team in Morpeth. The role will strengthen the team’s capacity to deliver planning and development advice, manage fee-earning instructions, support client relationships and contribute to the growth of the service across Northumberland and the wider North East.
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with planning applications, development appraisals, prior approvals, pre-application enquiries and planning strategies.
- Supporting developer, promoter and landowner engagement, including strategic land opportunities.
- Building trusted relationships with clients, consultants, local authorities and professional contacts.
- Identifying new instructions and managing them effectively, including budgets, deadlines, client updates and file management.
Work Pattern The role is offered on a full-time basis, Monday – Thursday 9am-5.30pm & Friday 9am-5pm, a total of 37hrs per week.

To be Successful The successful candidate will be MRICS, RTPI or equivalent relevant experience in development, rural property or land consultancy.
You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels with internal and external clients and be calm under pressure with proven ability to manage multiple instructions, deadlines and client expectations. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritise effectively whilst upholding meticulous attention to detail.
Experience with mapping, layouts, CAD or design-led feasibility work is desirable.
You must hold a full clean driving licence.
