The Role & Responsibilities
You’ll join one of our 4 client teams, specialising in Retail & FMCG media strategies. Clients operate differently, requiring smart thinking, agility, and strong client focus. Your role will be instrumental in delivering top-tier, accountable media solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Act as a key daily client contact, maintaining transparent, strong relationships and keeping clients updated on progress.
- Obtain briefs from clients and collaborate with cross-functional the7stars teams (planners, buyers, creatives) to craft tailored responses.
- Use industry tools, TGI insights, YouGov profiles, and data to develop channel implementation recommendations.
- Present media plans and recommendations to clients with confidence.
- Segment audiences via advanced profiling and data tools to enhance engagement.
- Liaise across specialist teams (AV, radio, press, OOH, digital) to ensure execution aligns with client objectives.
- Track campaign performance in real time, coordinate with vendors, and update clients with actionable insights.
- Maintain core account documents (year plans, finance trackers) for transparent reporting and collaboration.
- Leverage Excel at an intermediate level (pivot tables, functions) to build plans and reporting.
- Build and negotiate with media owners for optimal client ROI.
- Share best practice learnings with the agency (meetings, case studies, website).
- Actively participate in the7stars leadership forums and cross-company initiatives (e.g., Values Weeks).
- Engage in relevant pitches and new business leads.
- Collaborate with sidebar specialists (data, insight, digital) to upskill and stay ahead.

Requirements
- Agency experience in media planning/buying (online/offline).
- Be a “media nerd”—passionate about channels, trends, and strategy.
- Quick learner: Must grasp new platforms and adapt aggressively.
- Practical executor: Hands-on problem solver who thrives under pressure.
- Multi-task with excellence—prioritise deadlines in a fast-paced agency.
- Confident communicator: Speak eloquently to clients, stakeholders, and peers.
- Presentation skills: Articulate strategies verbally and in writing.
- Tech-savvy: Intermediate Excel mastery (essential for planning/forecasts).
