About the Role
We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Planning & Customer Service Coordinator to join our team in Dinnington. This is an additional role, we already have a team of 2 in our Planning and Customer function.
This is a varied and fast-paced role that combines customer service, production planning, administration, and logistics coordination. You will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, production schedules are maintained, and communication flows effectively between customers, suppliers, and internal departments.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm or 9:30am-5:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Order Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, orders, and delivery requests.
- Create, process, and maintain sales orders within Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Monitor and update customer delivery dates, pricing, and order information.
- Coordinate customer collections, shipments, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare customer invoices and ensure accurate order documentation.
- Assist with export documentation and shipping requirements where applicable.

Production Planning & Scheduling
- Schedule and manage work orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX and Preactor in line with customer demand and production capacity.
- Issue production route cards and complete work order transactions within the ERP system.
- Attend daily production meetings to communicate customer priorities and production requirements.
- Liaise closely with production teams to ensure schedules are achieved and customer expectations are met.
- Monitor production progress and support the resolution of planning or scheduling issues.
Procurement & Inventory Support
- Raise purchase orders for raw materials, maintenance parts, and general supplies.
- Process goods receipts within Microsoft Dynamics.
- Support stock control activities, including stock checks and annual stock takes.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
Administration & Coordination

- Create and maintain customer and supplier records within Microsoft Dynamics.
- Welcome visitors and manage site sign-in procedures and coordinate visitor catering and hospitality requirements.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and maintain company contact lists.
- Arrange business travel, including flights, hotels, and transport.
- Undertake additional administrative duties as required to support business operations.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a customer service, planning, scheduling, or administrative role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics AX.
