Position: Planning and Customer Support Officer (Mobile Service Team)
Location: Luton Airport
Hours: 5-5-4 Shift Pattern 7am-7pm OR Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week
Gama Aviation is a very reputable Business Aviation company, working on both fixed wing and rotary aircrafts. We are continuing to adjust to market demands, with exciting contracts and new customers being secured.
We are seeking skilled Planning and Customer Support Officers to work as part of our successful Mobile Service Team, based at Luton Airport. There are two great working patterns options available to suit your lifestyle; either our 554 shift pattern (7am-7pm) or Monday-Friday, 40-hour week with flexibility around start and finish times. For those working Monday to Friday, there will occasionally be a need to provide weekend cover during periods of annual leave or sickness. Any weekend support can be taken back as time off in lieu or paid as overtime.
The Planning and Customer Support Officer will deliver the full life cycle support of AOG and line maintenance inputs to achieve on-time delivery of aircraft events. In order to ensure both customer satisfaction and business needs are met, the role will require working in partnership with the customer and wider internal teams including engineering, compliance and commercial on a daily basis, whilst producing pragmatic solutions to issues often unforeseen. Main Responsibilities:
- Planning of AOG and Line maintenance inputs covering line stations and wherever the AOG event occurs.
- Liaise/engage with Line Maintenance Manager to ensure smooth running of the department.
- Customer service and client contact – point of contact for the customer and the interface between our engineering team and the customer’s representatives.
- Pre-input planning, work pack generation, check progression and work pack closure process.
- Control of completed work order and Certification documents, ensuring that these are closed accurately, billed, and delivered to the customer at the required standards and timelines.
- Ensuring that our customers’ requirements are understood and that our engineering response is planned, co-ordinated and executed in an efficient manner.
- Liaise/engage with customers daily providing daily status reports on aircraft serviceability.
- Co-ordinate material and GSE management of line station holdings.
- Procurement for parts, material and equipment to ensure availability for the maintenance input.
- Goods inwards processing and issuing.
- Core and warranty claim progression and tracking.
- Perform other sections duties related to their position as directed by the Line Maintenance Manager.
- Provide briefings for engineering departmental management on a regular basis.
- Develop and fully use operational processes to ensure efficient operational performance.
- To update and maintain the work pack and technical record for each aircraft.
- Reporting of all SMS/Quality issues.
- Participate in the quality audit programme and ensuring audit closure actions are developed and implemented.
- Support the Quality & Safety team regarding their duties to ensure all processes and department tasks are fulfilled.

Essential
- At least 2 years’ experience of aircraft input planning in a dynamic line and/or base maintenance environment.
- Willing to work a shift pattern to support business needs.
- Have a flexible working approach to a dynamic working environment and have willingness to travel to other locations, as required for training and/or audit.
- As an integral and important part of the Gama Engineering Group, you should have both strong verbal and written communication skills and be competent using IT.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and operations standards and practices specifically UK CAA & EASA.
Desirable
- Experience working within a business aviation environment.
- Experience working directly with customer representatives.
- Experience with Corridor software.
- Experience in aviation parts and material ordering.
- Experience in goods inwards processing.
