Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to lead Planning & Control (P&C) activities across the product lifecycle for the external supply chain that enable inventory and logistics costs to be optimised for Rolls Royce and to ensure delivery performance expectations are achieved. You will lead the deployment and development of planning and control capability within a Supplier Management Team ensuring on time delivery of product to customer demand.
What you will be doing
As a Planning and Control Manager, you will get a chance to:
- Utilising the R-R Production System lead the P&C team to ensure that they understood their performance.
- Process - Confirm the team are managing key leading metrics and ensuring that the team closes performance gaps.
- Develop, coach and lead the Planning & Control team members ensuring their responsibilities are delivered professionally.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality managers within Supplier Management team & with relevant OBU interfaces to ensure performance enablers are understood, prioritised and supported.
- Enable the P&C team to lead Supplier Performance Reviews.
- Work with ME, Quality & PM/PI managers to ensure mid-term delivery risks are understood, prioritised and supported.
- Enable the P&C team to lead successful Order Book Reviews.
- Manage Planning & Control related change for the commodities / supply chain value stream - Provide input into the sourcing strategy and sourcing decisions, helping shape the 'blueprint' for the supply chain.
- Coordinate the Sales and Operations planning process for the commodities / supply chain value stream.
- Manage the supply chain responses to support business impact evaluation (Risk, Inventory, Capacity and Financial).
- Ensure teams manage inter-relationships and communications within the Procurement Organisation, and with internal and external stakeholders.

Position qualifications

Relevant experience
- Relevant experience of Supply Chain management gained from working in an Operational environment ideally within Procurement, Manufacturing, Aftermarket or Fleet Planning.
- Robust knowledge and experience in SAP and MRP.
- Ability to lead and manage a team and their performance through understanding and analysing performance data and key delivery metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships and communicate with all parts of the business including internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve delivery risk and issues, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience of leading in challenging environments - including diverse cultures and high pressure or complex situations.
