An exciting opportunity to join a major Bristol-based construction project as a Document Controller Apprentice, supporting the design and site teams by managing project documentation, drawings and compliance records while gaining valuable professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy construction project team in Bristol (Epic Project) as a Document Controller Apprentice.

You will play a key role in keeping project information organised, accurate and up to date, supporting the Design Manager, Planning Department and Site Teams to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

If you’re someone who enjoys structure, precision and being at the heart of how a project operates, this role offers fantastic exposure to the construction industry and professional project environments.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Creating, monitoring and maintaining electronic drawing and document records
  • Controlling and distributing drawings, ensuring they are date stamped, recorded and filed correctly
  • Supporting BREEAM administration and coordinating project folders
  • Working closely with the client’s design team
  • Quality checking information before it is issued to site teams
  • Assisting with the preparation of Health & Safety Files and O&M Manuals
  • Ensuring documentation is returned to Head Office in line with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards
  • Maintaining quality, environmental and health & safety procedures
  • Supporting wider team administration where required

Entry Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Previous experience in administration or electronic filing systems would be an advantage but is not essential, full training and support will be provided.
