The Planning Director in Entertainment at Zenith UK will drive bold, creative media strategies for some of Europe’s most dynamic and culturally impactful entertainment brands. In this leadership role, you will shape high-level media plans across premium TV, streaming, theatrical releases, and emerging platforms—helping brands achieve meaningful growth, elevate their market position, and deliver exceptional value to consumers.

Key Responsibilities
Core Tasks
- Oversee the full lifecycle of media strategy development for top-tier entertainment clients, ensuring alignment with business goals, brand positioning, and growth objectives.
- Lead holistic media planning across premium TV, streaming, theatre, and emerging platforms, pushing creative boundaries to deliver standout campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with clients to shape their media vision, prioritise key storytelling opportunities, and drive audience engagement.
- Manage relationships with media partners, retailers, and vendors to secure optimal rates, innovative placements, and performance-enhancing opportunities.
- Optimise media investments using data-driven insights (TGI, Nielsen, commodity charts) to maximise ROI.
- Champion cutting-edge planning standards, integrating programmatic, data-driven, and experiential strategies for dynamic results.
- Represent Zenith in client presentations, presenting insightful briefs, strategic recommendations, and performance-tracking reports.

Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and develop planners, ensuring high standards, continuous learning, and seamless campaign execution.
- Work cross-functionally with buyer, digital, activation, and performance teams to create tightly integrated, high-impact media plans.
- Align media strategies with senior leadership to embed initiatives within broader marketing efforts.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years in media planning, specialising in Entertainment, Premium Content, or Streaming.
- Proven experience managing multi-channel, budget-intensive media campaigns with measurable impact.
- Expertise in forecasting, ROI optimisation, and campaign measurement (CPM, CPA, brand lift studies).
- Deep knowledge of media analytics tools (TGI, Nielsen, Google Analytics, waving dynamics).
- Ability to lead strategic vision—balancing data with creative intuition to deliver standout strategies.
- Strong relationship management skills, with experience negotiating with media vendors and partners.
- Leadership in a team environment, with a track record of mentoring teams and fostering collaboration.
