Role Summary

The Planning Team at Wavemaker UK are the architects of industry-leading, transformative work. By bridging relations between specialists and consumers, we push creative and strategic boundaries. This entry-level Planning Executive role offers a career launchpad in the media industry.

Key Responsibilities

Media Planning Craft

  • Build foundational knowledge of media planning across channels.
  • Learn and apply DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity) planning and carbon-conscious media practices.
  • Master media systems/tools: TGI, Pathmatics, Wavemaker Architect, AdIntel, and more.
  • Execute and analyse reports, including competitive and audience insights.
  • Foster an analytical mindset to understand consumer behaviour and market trends.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and share insights daily.

Campaign Management

  • Assist in campaign schematics, media planning submissions, and creative brief reviews.
  • Support financial processes (PO trackers, reconciliations, investments, queries).
  • Collaborate with activation teams to produce tactical responses.
  • Maintain status reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Effective Communication

  • Coordinate client and creative agency meetings.
  • Gather and present critical documents for client discussions.
  • Align personal objectives with your manager and team goals.

  • Ability to summarise industry insights for team use.
  • Familiarity with tools: TGI, Pathmatics, AdIntel.
  • Self-starter mentality—complete routine tasks independently, whether addressing clients or packaging deliverables.
