Planning & Fulfillment Manager
Supply Planning and Warehouse Operations Expert
ABB Furse Facility, Nottingham – Onsite
About the Role
In this critical leadership role, you will own supply planning, inventory management, and warehouse operations across ABB’s Furse facility. Report directly to the Unit Manager, driving planning initiatives to optimize finished goods and material flow—reducing lead times, improving on-time delivery, and aligning execution with demand forecasting.
Your vision is to streamline information and material flow between planning and fulfilment teams, ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining inventory targets and adherence to supply chain best practices.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the site leadership team, your responsibilities include:

Supply Chain Ownership:
- Lead end-to-end supply planning, ensuring optimal inventory levels and material availability while supporting the site’s demand plan.
- Provide visibility of supply capacity, local objectives, and cross-functional alignment between planning and execution teams.
- Drive data-driven decisions to optimize on-time delivery, lead times, forecast accuracy, and resource utilisation.

Warehouse Operations Management:
- Own and optimize receiving, storing, internal movements, and shipping processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement inventory control systems, track stock levels, and manage replenishment cycles to minimize discrepancies.

Process Optimisation:
- Identify and prioritise continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in planning and fulfilment.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce lead times and support strategic business objectives.

Performance and Risk Management:
- Handle unplanned events and supply disruptions, coordinating rapid responses to maintain business continuity.
- Ensure compliance with ABB’s code of conduct, global standards, and local regulations, including safety, quality, and ethics.
