Planning & Fulfillment Manager
Supply Chain & Warehouse Operations Manager

This position reports to:
- Unit Manager
Key Responsibilities
In this strategic role, you will lead supply planning, inventory management, and warehouse operations across our Nottingham site. Your work will drive operational excellence and support business objectives by:
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Own the site supply planning process
- Provide visibility of local supply capacity while ensuring alignment between planning, execution, and demand fulfilment
- Develop and maintain accuracy of supply plans to optimise inventory levels and material availability
- Ensure timely-line delivery improvements and reduction of lead times
Warehouse Operations
- Manage all warehouse functions including receiving, internal movements, and shipping to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems, tracking stock levels, managing replenishment, and minimising discrepancies
Process Optimisation
- Identify and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve:
- On-time delivery rates
- Lead times
- Inventory turns
- Forecast accuracy
- Drive operational excellence by enhancing material flow, reducing waste, and driving continuous improvement across planning and fulfilment functions
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop planning and warehouse teams, fostering a culture of perfection and collaboration
- Coordinate responses to unplanned operational events, ensuring resilience while supporting strategic goals
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure strict adherence to ABB’s code of conduct, global/local standards, and regulatory requirements
- Prioritise safety, integrity, and ethical practices across all operations, including inventory and warehouse procedures

Your Qualifications & Experience
Education & Background
- A relevant degree (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field) is beneficial but not essential
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or operations, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, refine processes, and continuously improve efficiency
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities—excellent written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams
- Leadership and influence skills—ability to engage team members and stakeholders, driving operational success
- Data-driven mindset with proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, manage risks effectively, and maintain focus on strategic objectives
