East Anglia | Competitive Salary + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established property developer with a strong track record of delivering residential and mixed-use developments across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Planning Manager to join their East Anglia-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to move client-side or an existing developer-side professional seeking greater responsibility and exposure to high-quality projects.

The Role

Working within an experienced Planning & Development team, you will help identify, promote and deliver development opportunities from acquisition through to planning consent and delivery. You will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and local authorities to ensure projects progress successfully.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing planning strategies across a portfolio of residential and mixed-use developments.
  • Leading pre-application discussions and managing planning applications, including outline, hybrid, full, and reserved matters submissions.
  • Coordinating external planning consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Undertaking planning due diligence and advising on planning opportunities and risks.
  • Negotiating Section 106 Agreements, planning conditions, and managing condition discharges, Section 73, and Reserved Matters applications.
  • Building strong relationships with local authorities, stakeholders, and statutory consultees.
  • Preparing reports for senior management and representing the business at planning meetings and committees.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
