We’re building something new, and this is your chance to be part of it!
As we launch and scale a brand-new centralised Workforce Management (WFM) function, we’re looking for a Planning Manager to take a leading role in shaping how we forecast, plan, and deliver our workforce strategy alongside the Head of WFM.
This is more than a planning role—it’s an opportunity to influence how the business operates at its core, bringing innovation, structure, and insight to how we meet customer demand and balance our people’s working weeks with their personal lives.
As our new Planning Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping the business stay ahead, making sure we have the right people in place—not just for today, but for the future. You’ll lead on forecasting and workforce planning, using data and insight to build clear, practical plans that support day-to-day operations and long-term growth for Securitas and our clients.
You’ll support and guide the planning team to:
- Spot risks early
- Plan for peaks in demand
- Keep everything running smoothly
The work you do will have a real impact—helping teams make better decisions, improving service delivery, and ensuring we’re set up to grow in a sustainable, well-planned way.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Planning Manager, you’ll:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners, building a high-performing, forward-thinking function
- Own workforce planning and forecasting, ensuring the business is prepared to meet both current and future demand
- Take a hands-on approach using WFM systems to optimise resource allocation and planning accuracy
- Analyse:
- Historical trends
- Real-time data
- Forecasts to proactively identify risks and opportunities
- Work closely with scheduling and operations teams to ensure plans translate effectively into delivery

- Act as a key escalation point for planning-related challenges, driving swift and effective resolutions
- Ensure all planning activity is fully compliant with:
- Contracts
- Policies
- Regulatory requirements
- Improve processes and introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working to enhance service delivery
- Support recruitment planning by identifying:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
