Pay Rate: £34,000 to £38,000

Grade: M

Contract Type: Permanent

Shift patterns: Rotational any 5 from 7 shifts will be discussed at interview

Location: Gloucester

We're now looking for a Warehouse Planning Manager to lead our operations and drive success.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage warehouse resource and operational plans to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently, on time, and within service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Analyse forecasting data, order volumes, staffing requirements, and operational performance to optimise capacity, productivity, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, transport, and supply chain teams to coordinate daily operations, resolve planning issues, and maintain seamless workflow across the site.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and implement planning strategies to drive operational performance and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and support the planning team, ensuring accurate reporting, effective workload prioritisation, and compliance with health and safety, quality, and operational standards.

This Role Would Suit People Who

  • Proven experience in a Planning Manager, Resource Planning Manager, or Warehouse Planning role within a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse planning, forecasting, capacity management, and resource scheduling, with the ability to balance labour requirements against customer demand.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel to analyse data, produce reports, and support operational decision-making.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and developing planning teams, managing performance, and working collaboratively with warehouse, transport, and supply chain stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of improving operational efficiency, achieving KPIs, and implementing planning processes that enhance productivity, service levels, and cost control.
