Planning & Scheduling Data Analyst – Wastewater Services

About the Role
Join our Wastewater Services team as a Planning & Scheduling Data Analyst, where you’ll transform complex data into actionable insights—enabling smarter decisions and improving service reliability. By integrating data from operations, field activities, and customer interactions, you’ll:
- Identify risks and optimise resources
- Strengthen planning, enhancements, and end-to-end performance
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver integrated performance reports and dashboards to provide clarity on:
- Planning & scheduling efficiency
- Operational flow
- Customer impact
- Translate complex data into accessible, actionable intelligence for:
- Operational teams
- Planning teams
- Leadership
- Analyse cross-functional data to detect:
- Trends, constraints, and systemic issues
- Improvement opportunities
- Highlight emerging risks and performance bottlenecks across wastewater services and customer journeys
- Support evidence-based continuous improvement spanning Planning, Operations, and Customer teams
- Develop forecasting models and predictive analytics to inform:
- Strategic planning
- Demand management
- Resource optimisation
- Provide insights for proactive risk anticipation and scenario planning
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (Planning, Operations, Customer Services, Project Teams) to align insights with decision-making
- Improve data quality, structural consistency, and accuracy across:
- Operational systems
- Reporting tools
- Customer data workflows
- Enable a unified, real-time view of:
- Customer journeys
- Operational processes
- Field performance

Person Specification
In search of candidates with proven experience in:
- Data, performance, or planning analytics, preferably in operational/service delivery environments (e.g., utilities, infrastructure, transport, engineering)
- Analysing multi-source datasets to extract clear, meaningful insights
- Designing reports, dashboards, or management information for decision-making
- Mapping end-to-end service/customer journeys and identifying:
- Inefficiencies
- Risks
- Growth opportunities
- Leveraging forecasting, trend analysis, or predictive techniques for:
- Capacity planning
- Resource optimisation strategies
- Collaborating with operations, customers, and planning teams to:
- Transform data into applied recommendations
- Improve data governance—ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business goals
